![]() Nightdive started a campaign with clear goals and immediately deviated from it causing rage and fury amongst backers, then spent the next couple of years just thinking about what they want to do with the game rather than making the game, then came the engine change, and effectively started development when they already ran out of money. I'm kinda on the side of crusty critics here. title, like they've promised in KS campaign, it'd better be very good for $40. Yeah, considering it's been 6+ years in development and they only had one job - make a straightforward "faithful remake" of a 29y.o. AAA games whose optimization states range from horrendous to sub-par will continue to be released, and will continue to be used as examples that we desperately need at least 16GB of VRAM. Although to be fair, the game's textures are not that large and there aren't many of them since the environments are not that varied, so I'm guessing it is easier to get away with lower VRAM consumption. Ladies we are on to a winner!Yeah, but System Shock's remake is probably more of an exception in the gaming sphere.
